These terms govern your use of the Nori desktop application and this website. By installing Nori or buying a licence, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use Nori.
1. Who we are
"Nori", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator listed in the Imprint. The Nori app is sold and supported by Codepa; payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record (see § 5).
2. Licence grant
When you purchase a Nori licence, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to:
- Install and use Nori on the number of devices your licence covers (Personal: 2 devices · Team: as purchased)
- Use Nori for personal or commercial work, including client work
- Receive all minor and patch updates to your purchased version (e.g. 1.x) free of charge for one year from purchase
You may not:
- Distribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Nori app or any part of it
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, except where law expressly permits
- Share your licence key publicly or with people outside the seats your licence covers
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices on the app
Major version upgrades
A licence covers the major version it was purchased for. Subsequent major versions (2.0, 3.0, etc.) may be offered as a separate, discounted upgrade to existing licence holders. They are never required to keep using the version you purchased.
3. Trial
Nori offers a 14-day free trial without payment information. Exported images during the trial period carry a Nori watermark. The trial is provided "as is" without warranty. Purchasing a licence removes the watermark and unlocks all features for the duration of the licence.
4. Refund policy
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund. Reply to your purchase receipt or email info@codepa.de within 14 days of purchase. We process the refund within 48 hours and deactivate your licence. We'd rather have a happy ex-customer than an unhappy current one.
5. Payment and pricing
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, Inc. ("Lemon Squeezy") as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects all applicable taxes and issues receipts. The displayed price on our pricing page is the price you pay — taxes are included.
All sales are denominated in US dollars. Your bank may apply a currency conversion if your account currency differs.

6. Intellectual property
Nori, the Nori name, the Nori app icon, and all visual identity associated with the product are protected by copyright and trademark. You retain all rights to images you process with Nori — Nori claims no rights, no licence, no ownership over your content.
7. Privacy
Use of Nori is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: Nori has no servers, opens no network sockets in normal use, and never collects telemetry. See the full policy for details.
8. Warranty disclaimer
Nori is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Nori will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. You are responsible for backing up your work — Nori is not a storage service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of Nori. Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
These terms remain in effect for as long as you use Nori. You may stop using Nori at any time. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms (e.g. distributing your key publicly); in that case any uninstall is at your responsibility.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in our newsletter and reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Nori after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The courts of Germany have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
